As an integrated service provider childcare and family support are at the heart of the Ballybeen Women’s Centre. The provision of childcare underpins all areas of work, enabling BWC to deliver key services and programmes of support that promote active citizenship, build capacity within the local community and support the development of a more cohesive, coordinated approach to community development within Ballybeen.

We have a highly qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years’ Team who specialise in caring for children from 3 months to 12 years. BWC offers two sessions daily: Monday to Friday morning and afternoon. All of our facilities are bright, spacious and well resourced.

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards in all our provisions, and with over 25 years experience, have an enormous wealth of knowledge and expertise in the developmental needs of children. Good practice is promoted through the regular updating of childcare policies and procedures; up-skilling and training of staff; provision of work placements for students; publication of leaflets and brochures; and hosting of other early years' practitioners.

The Early Years’ facilities are registered and inspected as required by Social Services and the Department of Education. We are also affiliated to the Early Years’ Organisation.

Ballybeen Women’s Centre has developed good relationships and communication between education, health and social services so that children and their families have broadly based and coordinated support that meets their needs.

We provide the following Early Years Services:
